Job: ACM's Head of Creative, Chris Sayer, is on the hunt for a copywriter to help with some freelance creative wordsmithing.

Requirements: Do you have a clean record of creative editorial/agency/social copy experience? Do you know your YETI Ramblers from your Danner Bull Runs? Ideal Concepts is a US-based individual health and life insurance marketing and technology company.

Job: They're looking for a long-term freelance copywriter for a new marketing website launching at the end of the year. The site aims to be the most well-branded and engaging insurance website in the industry.

  • You’ll create top-quality content on designated insurance topics (health, Medicare, life, property, and pet insurance). They're not focused on SEO first, but on valuable and informative evergreen content.

  • Your writing should be concise, engaging, and easy to understand for the average reader.

  • Typical articles will range from 1,000 to 3,000 words.

  • Infographics/illustrations should be used to help summarize content points.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in writing accessible, engaging content

  • Ability to present topics from multiple angles and make them digestible for a general audience.

  • Experience in specifying infographics/illustrations to complement the written content.

  • Examples of past work, particularly any involving infographic specifications.

BBC's The SpecialList series helps you see the world through the eyes of local experts and tastemakers in guides to the most popular and emerging destinations.

Job: Eva is open to pitches for the SpecialList.

Format is: 5-8 stop city guide with a timely, culturally relevant angle with mass (not niche) appeal featuring recommendations from a notable, trending but unbiased industry insider who is directly related to the angle you’ve pitched (no PR, tour guides, business owners, etc).

Requirements:

  • "Cool" (weather) city guides for summer

  • Outdoor adventure guides for trending cities

  • Fun city guides with cool, timely angles in general

  • Food stories (but no craft beer)

19. The Plank is commissioning stories to freelance reporters

The Plank is a new India-based magazine that features questions-led journalism.

Job: Samarth is looking to commission story ideas. Ideas includes investigations on food safety and regulation, revisionist history/anatomy of a scam(s), home buyers and RERA, and a wide multi-lens exploration of environmental issues.

Requirements: Reporters who know can get inside a world, find sources, documents, data, and whatever else it takes to tell a fair and accurate story. Read the pitch guide.

Rate: ₹40,000/$480 per magazine story.
