Breaking News: LinkedIn is Testing a Dedicated Video Tab
LinkedIn is doing a limited beta test of a dedicated video tab on mobile.
When you click on the tab, you’ll find a TikTok-style feed of short-form edutainment videos related to work life.
If you don’t have access yet, here are a few examples (they post on people’s profiles, too):
Some LI users are excited about this feature while others prefer the platform’s current non-video-centric state. Browse the convo and share your thoughts on this post.
If you’re interested in testing out video creation, here are some popular tools that can help:
Canva: Canva has an online video editor that supports drag-and-drop basic editing and collaboration features like resize, trim, crop, and mirror/flip features. You can also add animations, effects, filters, transitions, captions, audio tracks, and more.
CapCut: CapCut offers easy-to-use video editing functions, free in-app fonts and effects, and free advanced features such as keyframe animation, smooth slow-motion, chroma key, and stabilization.
OpusClip: OpusOne is a generative AI video repurposing tool that aims to pull a collection of viral clips out of longer videos. It also grades each clip’s hook, flow, ability to engage, and trendiness.

Expert Spotlight: Meet Aisha Preece!
Aisha Preece is a freelance writer turned owner of 6 monetized websites! If you’ve been wondering how to use writing to build passive income streams, she’s someone to follow!
Aisha Preece
After working in banking for 8 years, Aisha decided to pursue her dream of becoming a location-independent digital nomad. She gathered up her savings (and courage) and moved to Southeast Asia. However, she gave herself one condition—she’d return if she couldn’t replace her income within two years.
She began editing documents and teaching English online but soon found freelance writing. Through writing, she learned about blogging and SEO, which led her to start websites of her own.
Fast forward to today and she has a team of writers and a portfolio of sites that earns her $15-$18k per month! But she’s not hoity-toity about it. She’s hilarious, as down-to-earth as they come, and shares ALL she knows.
You can learn a ton from Aisha’s Instagram stories alone, but she also has a collection of high-value yet affordable courses. As a past student, I can say they’re worth checking out if you’re looking to build other income streams but don’t know where to start.
Google Leak Update
Google confirmed that the recent leak of internal documents was authentic, according to The Verge. Now the SEO community is working to make sense of the 2,500 documents. Yesterday, Jason Barnard at Search Engine Land shared some interesting insights in this piece:
For freelance writers, this reinforces the importance of building authority as a trusted expert in your niche. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
Okay, that’s a wrap for this week.
Thanks for reading, good luck applying, and I’ll see ya next Friday,
Jessica at ATFW
