✏️ Happy 2025! Here's who's hiring freelance writers this week.
Hey, hey ,
Happy New Year! 🎉🎉🎉
2025 is officially underway and I’m looking forward to seeing what this year will bring.
I’m currently working on the ATFW income report based on our survey of 500+ freelance writers and have a few other ideas brewing for this community.
Aside from that, you can count on the regular gig roundup every Friday morning.
Speaking of…gigs were a little sparse this week (tends to happen near holidays) but I did find a few!
Read on to find 20 new opps along with a free template to help with 2025 goal setting.

Q & A on Freelance Writing
Q: How do you set goals at the start of the year for your freelance writing business?
A: I use a year-end review spreadsheet to track various metrics from the year. Then, I note the highs, lows, and averages and compare them to the previous year. That gives me a good idea of where I want to set my targets going forward. From there, I take note of what did (and didn’t) help me grow over the past year and make an action plan.
Here’s a free template of my spreadsheet if you want to give it a try.
Context: Even if you don’t charge per word or hour, it can be helpful to see those metrics internally.
More context: If you do several types of writing and price them differently, you may want to use separate spreadsheets for each of the different types.
That’s a wrap for this week!
Wishing you the best for 2025.
